JOB SUMMARY
As a Tax Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial information for our clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Senior Accountant maintains client relationships and oversees the work of internal staff and works closely with internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Tax Preparation
- Lead and manage a portfolio of tax engagements, including planning, preparation, and review of various tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, etc.)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing their tax-related inquiries, providing recommendations, and fostering strong client relationships
- Collaborate with partners and managers to ensure seamless client service delivery and alignment with overall firm objectives
Research and Analysis
Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to develop proactive tax planning strategies for clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomesCollaborate with the internal team to assist in providing expert guidance on complex tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other business transactionsClient Communication
Effectively communicate complex tax concepts and strategies to clients, tailoring explanations to their understanding and addressing their questions or concernsPrepare and deliver presentations to clients on tax-related matters, providing insights into their financial situations and potential tax implicationsCompliance and Documentation
Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to internal quality control standardsMonitor and manage tax filing deadlines, extensions, and other compliance requirements to avoid penalties and ensure timely submissionsStay current with federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and changes, ensuring the firm and its clients are compliant with the latest tax requirementsTeam Collaboration

For job postings in our Massachusetts locations, we are required by law to include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion and transfer opportunity. This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate's knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000.
