Area Maintenance Supervisor

Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Area Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our hotel and property. This key leadership role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance of all physical assets in alignment with the organization's standards and operational goals.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.), project management, and team supervision. You'll be responsible for both day-to-day repair needs and long-term preventative maintenance planning, while maintaining safety standards and budget controls.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and purchasing of tools, parts, and equipment.

Supervise, schedule, and support maintenance team members to ensure high-quality, timely work aligned with safety and procedural standards.

Perform and oversee maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, laundry systems, etc.

Enforce compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ADA) and conduct regular inspections to uphold workplace safety standards.

Direct and manage improvement projects, renovations, and construction efforts, including scope planning, contractor coordination, and budget tracking.

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and / or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and maintenance management systems.

Proven experience supervising maintenance teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
