Restaurant - Assistant General Manager

$60K -$70K Base Salary + Bonus

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team and take responsibility for running our restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, while leading and developing a team. The successful candidate will have strong kitchen and hospitality management skills, and excellent communication and people management skills. Must be able to think on their feet and demonstrate passion about outstanding guest satisfaction. Job Responsibilities

  • Promote exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure restaurant is kept clean, safe, and organized.
  • Skilled in Preventative Maintenance and equipment repair
  • Monitor the quality of food produced in the kitchen.
  • Oversee kitchen inventory and order food and supplies as needed.
  • Train, supervise and develop staff to ensure effective restaurant operations
  • Ensure food safety standards are maintained.
  • Monitor COGS and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Develop and implement procedures for waste management.
  • Maintain records of food production and kitchen operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the restaurant.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ work experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role with a proven history, Buffet Experience Preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food safety knowledge and understanding of sanitation regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g., grills, fryers, etc.)
  • Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Restaurant Management preferred.
