This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, promotes a proactive safety culture, and supports operational excellence./ppProgram Management/pulliDevelop and execute site-specific safety plans for large scale BESS Projects/liliCoordinate with project managers, field service teams, customers, and third parties to integrate safety into daily operations/liliLead safety meetings and briefs with internal teams and subcontractors/li/ulpSafety Oversight and Compliance/pulliMonitor field operations to ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT, EPA, and utility-specific safety standards./liliConduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments./liliInvestigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; recommend corrective actions./li/ulpTraining and Development/pulliCollaborate with the training functions to advise on and deliver trainings for electrical safety, emergency response, and other relevant topics/liliMentor and supervise field safety team and site leads/li/ulpIncident Response and Reporting/pulliSupport investigations and documentation of safety incidents/liliCollaborate with subject matter experts to identify root causes and preventative strategies/li/ulpCulture and Leadership/pulliAct as a safety ambassador, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement/liliServe as a coach and mentor to field teams fostering ownership of safety practices/li/ulpOther responsibilities may be assigned at any time based on business need./ppKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities/pulliUtility Safety Standards: Deep understanding of OSHA 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, NESC, and utility-specific safety protocols./liliElectrical Systems: Knowledge of high-voltage transmission, substations, underground utilities, and renewable energy systems./liliIncident Investigation: Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., TapRooT, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)./liliEnvironmental Regulations: Awareness of EPA, DOT, and state-level environmental compliance relevant to utility projects./liliProject Lifecycle: Understanding of construction phases, permitting, commissioning, and energization in utility-scale projects./li/ulpEducation and Experience/pulliBachelors degree in safety management, engineering, or related field required./liliMinimum of 5 years experience creating and managing safety programs in high-voltage and field environments./li/ulpTravel/pulliLocal Travel: 25-50%/liliOvernight/North America: 25-50%/li/ulpWorking Conditions/pulliOffice Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body./liliFactory - The worker may be subject to hazards.
