Service Excellence Field HVAC / R Lead Technician - Denver, CO

We are growing quickly and looking to add talented people who are passionate about making the world a better place. The successful candidate will ensure optimal, efficient operation of Budderfly HVAC Units in the Denver area.

Why this Role is Important

HVAC Replacement with Ultra-High Efficiency Units is Budderfly's latest energy-savings initiative. Ensuring these units are properly maintained and configured for maximum efficiency is vital to the success of this program. This role is a key player on the Colorado team responsible for keeping units operating at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC Units within your geographic area, including maintenance and repair of HVAC / R systems and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance risks on HVAC / R equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC / R systems.
  • Perform commissioning checks to ensure efficient operation, including verifying RTU controller configurations and mechanical operation.
  • Provide physical maintenance such as changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting / replacing belts, and inspecting units for other mechanical issues.
  • Respond to emergency service calls on nights and weekends when on-call.
  • Clean, adjust, repair systems, and perform warranty services.
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Keep daily logs and records in the company work order system.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
  • Assist with customer queries.
  • No on call.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a service technician on HVAC / R systems.
  • EPA Certification required. HVAC License required for the City of Denver.
  • HVAC Controls experience; familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a plus.
  • Ability to recognize control and mechanical issues before they escalate.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Desire to contribute to and develop a team of HVAC / R technicians.
  • Customer and safety focused.
  • Ability to travel within Denver, CO and surrounding areas.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and be available for on-call duties, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Compensation

    $30–$44 USD / hour. Truck and tools provided. Compensation based on experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
