Position Responsibilities :
- Presets tables and follows serving and cleaning procedures according to Culinary Services manual
- Be familiar and conversant with the daily food and dessert menus
- Be professional and hospitable to Residents at all times
- Complete resident checks accurately and thoroughly
- Maintain dining room and work area, neat and orderly at all times
- Follow daily sanitation cleaning schedules
- Be alert to the likes and dislikes of Residents when serving food and make the host / hostess promptly aware of any problem
- Attend in-service training sessions with co-workers to keep abreast of current knowledge in the field
- Cooperate and coordinate work activities with co-workers to ensure a smoothly run department
- Performs assigned job related duties or special projects assigned by the Host / Hostess or Dining Room Supervisor
Qualifications :
Able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends and holidaysMinimum of six months experience as a bus staff at Orchard Cove or in an upscale hotel or restaurantAbility to pass a CORI background check and physical exam including TB testAbility to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal or written formWorking Conditions and Physical Demands :
Ability to stand for long periods of time and to walk short distancesFrequent stooping, reaching and liftingWorks in a clean, well lighted and ventilated environmentPossible work hazards include : cuts, burns, slips and fallsFollow uniform policy and good personal hygieneRemote Type
