As a Medical Scribe, you will be instrumental in supporting our Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine Department clinicians by providing essential documentation assistance. This role allows clinicians to allocate more time for direct patient interactions, offering a unique opportunity for entry-level healthcare professionals to expand their medical knowledge and gain invaluable clinical exposure while working alongside skilled MDs, NPs, and PAs.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma
- Completion of relevant science or clinical coursework at the undergraduate level or above. Work experience in a direct patient care clinical setting may be considered in lieu of coursework.
- Required work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in a healthcare setting, with preferred experience in direct patient care roles (e.g., medical scribe, patient care technician, medical assistant, EMT). Must be documented on resume.

Full-Time Day Shifts and Full-Time Night Shifts available.Day shifts start between 6 : 00 am - 6 : 00 pm; flexibility to rotate through scheduled start times is essential.Night shifts start between 7 : 00 pm - 10 : 00 pm; rotation through various start times is also required.Employees will work 2 blocked weekends (Saturday and Sunday) each month, with other weekends off.Shifts are scheduled 7 days a week.Full-time position with a guaranteed 30 hours per week; typical shifts will be up to 36 hours.Essential Functions :
Accompany clinicians into patient rooms and accurately transcribe dictations and notes.Actively listen to conversations concerning patient care and document relevant information into the EMR.Document clinician and patient encounters in the EMR.Communicate with clinicians to acquire any missing information needed to complete charts.Gather and input pertinent patient information from external sources.Make necessary phone calls to PMD offices, pharmacies, or other locations as requested by the clinician.Keep clinicians updated on diagnostic results and assist in troubleshooting delays.Other Duties :
