Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position specializing in post-acute and geriatric care with weekend and holiday shift requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Position based in a 100-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility
  • Day shift, 12 hours (6 : 45 AM - 7 : 08 PM) with 30-minute paid break for on-unit staff
  • Care provided for geriatric, short-term, post-acute, and trach patients
  • Nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 20
  • Nurse Practitioner on duty from 7 AM to 4 : 30 PM Monday through Friday
  • Ancillary support staff : 9 on days and 7 on nights
  • Weekend and holiday shift coverage required
  • Provide care for post-acute, long-term, and trach patient populations
  • Collaborate closely with NPs and ancillary staff for patient care
  • Must be able to fulfill both weekend and holiday shift assignments

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license from MS or compact state
  • Minimum of two years LTAC experience required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Strongly prefer experience in 400+ bed or level 2 trauma facility
  • Prior travel RN experience required, but strong first-time travelers may be considered
