About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : One year of experience required

License : Current RN License issued by the state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN License

Certifications :

• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
• ACLS required upon hire
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required upon hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire

Must-Have : Level 1 experience with antepartum or Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care

Description :

Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.

Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.

Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.

Assist physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients.

Observe the physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.

Administer medication as prescribed.

Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.

Deliver patient care competently.

Interact with family and patients in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.

Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.

Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.

Delegate tasks to support staff.

Maintain good working relationships with other employees.

Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrate some computer skills.

Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures is required.

Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques is essential.
