Retail Store Area Supervisor

The pay range for this position is $19 - $22 / hour and is based on experience.

The Store Area Supervisor role at OSJL oversees the daily operations and merchandising of assigned areas. They ensure smooth freight flow while prioritizing exceptional customer experiences, all under the guidance of a designated Team Leader. This role serves as a development path for future OSJL team leaders; associates in this role are highly encouraged to embrace opportunities for growth towards leadership positions.

Key responsibilities include championing exceptional customer service, creating effective work schedules, providing guidance and support to the team, managing merchandise presentation, maintaining accurate signage and ticketing, verifying pricing accuracy of incoming shipments, handling packaways and returns, upholding store safety and maintenance standards, and operating a cash register as needed.

Qualifications include 1 or more years of professional experience in other retail environments, prior customer service experience, training experience, and prior merchandise ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintenance experience in other retail environments is preferred. Computer skills and availability to work as needed by the business including nights and weekends are also required. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Work environment includes working primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard potential, extended periods of moving, remaining stationary, ascending, descending, and positioning oneself to complete various tasks throughout the shift. Some sedentary activities and near vision use for reading and computer use. Responsible for physical activities including using hand tools, ascending or descending a ladder, moving, reaching, and lifting on a frequent basis : Should be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis.
