Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant Opportunity near Mount Pleasant, SC

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) near Mount Pleasant, SC. This permanent full-time position offers the chance to work alongside a team of experienced cardiothoracic surgeons in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.

Position Overview :

  • Role : Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
  • Employment Type : Full-Time
  • Specialization : Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery
  • Immigration Assistance : Not provided

Key Responsibilities :

  • Experience Required : At least 2 years of experience with routine heart and thoracic surgery procedures is essential.
  • Skills : Experience in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and first assist in surgery is required.
  • Patient Care : Responsibilities include daily rounding on patients pre and post-operatively and conducting follow-up assessments in the clinic.
  • Procedures : Exposure to minimally invasive procedures is a plus.
  • Call Schedule : Expected call schedule of 1 : 3, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience : Must have a solid background in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, with hands-on experience in all routine procedures.
  • Skills : Proficiency in EVH and first assisting in surgeries is required.
  • Patient Management : Understanding of clinic follow-ups and post-operative outpatient care is necessary.
  • Certification : Relevant certifications and licensure are required.
