Falconwood is a woman-owned, veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, policy, cybersecurity, engineering, and process development. The Data Scientist I will be responsible for supporting data-driven analysis and decision-making tools for the Commander, Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) N6 Directorate, particularly within the Command Data Office (CDO).

Responsibilities : This entry-level data science role supports the development of analytical tools and workflows that power mission decision-making across the Navy Information Warfare enterprise. The candidate will perform data mining, statistical analysis, and visualization to deliver operational insights aligned with NAVIFOR's data strategy. This is a hybrid position based in Suffolk, VA, with limited travel anticipated.

Responsibilities :

• Perform analysis and modeling of large, complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights
• Support the development of dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting tools using modern BI platforms
• Assist in the integration of structured and unstructured data sources to support analytics workflows
• Conduct data profiling, cleaning, transformation, and normalization activities
• Apply machine learning and statistical analysis techniques to support mission-aligned use cases
• Support the development of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and data structures for reporting
• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to turn analytical insights into production-ready tools
• Contribute to the implementation of the NAVIFOR data strategy across enterprise platforms

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor of Science in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline

Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, databases, visualization, and applied coding

Clearance : Active Secret Clearance required

This position is fast paced and high demand that is a hybrid position (onsite and remote) in Suffolk, VA. Limited to no travel is anticipated.
