Description :

The position requires experience in a telemetry nursing environment.

Nurses will care for post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients.

The expected nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 3 or 1 : 4.

Nurses will be expected to interpret common telemetry rhythms.

Experience with titratable drips, such as Heparin and Amiodarone, is necessary.

The position requires strong competency in maintaining a sterile field during procedures.

Nurses will participate in educational trainings for lifts, restraints, and wound care.

Self-scheduling options are available for shifts.

Weekend shifts are required, with a commitment of 3 weekend shifts every 4-week schedule.

The charge nurse ideally does not take on patients.

There are patient care technicians available, with a ratio of 1 tech for 16 beds.

The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, which are not provided.

Candidates should be prepared for potential floating to applicable areas.

The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment.

The charting system used is Cerner.
