Summary
The Mobile Equipment Operator (MEO) is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of finished product, ingredients and supplies to or from specific warehouse locations, including appropriate Adage transactions. Monitors all finished products, ingredients and supplies as to the proper labeling, packaging and container integrity and condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with team safety performance by using PEAK Process, participation in regular safety meetings, participation in regular safety / sanitation inspections, and maintaining orderliness of work areas. Ensure proper Lock, Tag and Try of equipment.
Manage product quality by adherence to product specifications, GMP's & Sanitation Guidelines, FM prevention, and assisting with routine sanitation, area sanitation & tool inspection. Responsible for segregating non-conforming product.
The MEO assists the Team Leader in the training of all team members in safety, sanitation and job duties in their area.
Ensure proper communication across shifts between team member(s) of like responsibility. Use logbooks, and written notes to facilitate communication.
This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining adequate supplies of packaging material i.e. lugs, liners, lids, etc. to the pack areas, safe, efficient and timely transfer of packaged product to the proper warehouse location and the staging of addback / rework product for addition back to the line.
Requires careful handling of product and ingredients to ensure that loads are not damaged.
Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the tenets of "What We Stand For" and "The Basic Principles."
Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.
Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies. Regularly complete behavior based safety observations. Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.

Education and / or Experience
This position is awarded through the bid process. Incumbent must be capable of becoming a certified forklift operator. Special skills should include, but are not limited to, basic math skills, and operating knowledge of personal computers, which includes ability to use a keyboard for data entry.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate, read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to creatively apply experience and common sense to a variety of situations, process and people. Ability to act as troubleshooter on shift to resolve issues hour to hour that reduce line efficiency, product quality, safety, and sanitation. These issues may include equipment malfunction, and variations in operating conditions. Ability to assist in determining when and how to take malfunctioning equipment down for repair.
