We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Construction Safety Coordinator to coordinate safety protocols and compliance within our telecommunications construction operations and enterprise-wide. The ideal candidate will have a background in workplace safety preferably in telecommunications infrastructure projects (or similar construction projects), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety among our workforces.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures specific to telecommunication construction projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in telecommunications projects and enterprise-wide.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety protocols into project planning and execution phases.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes relevant to telecommunications operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and issues and communicate safety expectations clearly to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.Proven experience (3+ years) as a Safety Specialist, Safety Coordinator, Safety Manager or similar role. This is not a Director-level role / compensation.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant safety guidelines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.OSHA 10 and 30 certifications preferred.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.Position is based on-site in our Boca Raton, FL office and reports to our VP of Construction.Ability to travel to various project sites as needed - travel will be 50-75% of the time.About Us
