Our client, a rapidly growing, mission-driven restaurant group, is seeking a General Manager Apprentice to join its Boston team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader from hospitality, retail, or related service industries to transition into the restaurant world.

The ideal candidate is a people-focused leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, values teamwork, and enjoys creating great experiences for both guests and employees. Food service experience is not required - what matters most is strong leadership, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for learning and growth within a dynamic organization.

Compensation & Location :

Base Salary : $62,500 annually

Location : Back Bay, Boston, MA

Key Responsibilities :

Lead with purpose : Support daily operations while developing leadership skills to eventually oversee all aspects of a high-performing restaurant.

Inspire and develop teams : Motivate, train, and mentor employees to achieve excellence in service, teamwork, and productivity.

Deliver exceptional guest experiences : Cultivate a welcoming environment that emphasizes genuine hospitality and personalized service.

Drive results : Partner with leadership to meet sales, labor, and operational targets through strong organizational and analytical skills.

Maintain high standards : Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Learn and grow : Participate in structured management training and hands-on leadership development designed to prepare you for a full General Manager role.

Qualifications :

2+ years of leadership or management experience in retail, hospitality, hotel, or service environments (restaurant experience not required).

Proven ability to build and motivate teams while fostering an inclusive, positive work culture.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Eagerness to learn restaurant operations and grow within a mission-driven company.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
