Hematology-Oncology physician job in North Carolina : Locums Reidsville, North Carolina, Hematology / Oncology Job

Start Date : January 19, 2026 Ongoing NeedLicense : Active North Carolina License Required

Position Overview

A facility in Reidsville, NC is seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist or Oncologist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage. The role is primarily focused on benign hematology in an ambulatory clinic setting, with occasional call coverage.

Schedule

Shift : Standard

Days : Tuesday or Wednesday Friday

Hours : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM (9-hour shifts)

Call : Infrequent call & some weekend call shifts

Assignment Type : Clinic-based with limited inpatient responsibilities

Practice Details

Setting : Ambulatory Hematology / Oncology Clinic (Inpatient Facility)

Patients per Day : Minimum 15 (Hematology-focused)

Hospital Bed Size : TBD

Support Staff Includes :

Nurses

Patient Navigator

Administrative Support

Pharmacy Team

12 Physicians

APPs

Infusion Specialist

EMR : Epic (assessment required prior to start date)

Clinical Scope

Primary Focus : Benign Hematology

Additional Focus : Bread and Butter Hematology / Oncology

Key Duties :

See new and follow-up patients

Write orders and prescriptions

Communicate with pharmacy

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team

Requirements

Board Certification : Hematology or Oncology (both preferred)

License : Active NC License Required

DEA : Required

BLS : Required

Experience : Minimum 23 years

Credentialing Timeframe : 6090 days
