Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PICU Location : Children's Hospital, Portland, OR 97239 Unit : 8N Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Start Date : December 2, 2025 End Date : March 3, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Yes Floating : Yes, to NICU and Pediatric Units Charting System : EPIC Scrubs : Provided for OR Parking : On-site, $16 Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Estimated Weekly Salary : $2050–$2200 per week PICU RN Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent PICU Registered Nurse experience (CVPICU and post-op heart experience required) Active Oregon RN license (pending license accepted with submitted application) BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred Proficiency with Epic charting system Ability to float to NICU and Pediatric Units as needed Professional references required First-time travel nurses accepted with CVPICU experience All time off requests must be submitted upfront PICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients Perform bedside procedures : central / arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations / extubations, CRRT and ECMO initiation / discontinuation, and emergent operative procedures Operate advanced medical equipment : Hamilton G5 Ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun Targeted Temperature Management, and Baxter Prismaflex Machines Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and nutritionists Float to NICU and other pediatric units as required Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC Complete orientation and required modules prior to start date Take the next step in your nursing career with this high-impact travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon.
