Overview :

WiredPeople is seeking a dedicated Staff Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in a long-term inpatient forensic facility. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality mental health services for patients with complex psychiatric and legal needs.

The facility is located in Farmington, Missouri, has a small town’s friendliness and charm while being only about an hour from St. Louis and all the amenities of a large city. This position is full-time and onsite in Farmington, Missouri.

Essential Functions :

• Patient Load for full-time – average 40 patients (2 wards) – required to be seen monthly and as needed (daily not needed unless on special precautions)

Legal status of patients – NGRI, VBG (voluntary by guardian), PIST (permanently incompetent to stand trial), VBG formerly PIST, SVP (sexually violent predator)

Diagnosis and treatment including medications, therapy, referrals and consultations as needed

No on-call required – No weekends or holidays required, unless you would like to work on-call
