Primary Purpose

Performs work in the park maintenance of County parks and facilities. Work will be primarily performed at Creekside or West Craven Parks.

Essential Functions

• Works part-time through the Spring, Summer, and Fall months to assist with park maintenance.
• Keeps Park areas clean of trash and debris.
• Sanitizes and cleans bathrooms.
• Prepares and maintains athletic fields for weekend games and tournaments, cleans restrooms and shelters.
• Mows and trims fields and common grounds.
• Work also requires considerable tact as you will come into contact on a regular basis with the general public.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to work special events and programs as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid NC Driver's license. Experience operating mowing and field maintenance equipment preferred.
