Opportunity

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer SME to support the Command, Control, Communication, and Battle Management (AFLCMC / C3BM) at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. C3BM serves as the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment expert to support the warfighter. The ADE Division handles a wide range of USAF systems, including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Range Instrumentation, Air Combat Training and Aircrew Readiness, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, and more. The division supports depot level sustainment and maintenance efforts and works with DoD and U.S. government customers on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

  • Document the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.
  • Use design of experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs.
  • Independently prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation / analyses, specifications, cost estimates, test plans, and technical reports in the area of technical expertise.
  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate broad-scope and complex problems, data, or features of the work.
  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and adequacy of results and conclusions from test engineering tasks.
  • Devise new and innovative approaches to encountered problems and accomplish assigned tasks efficiently, timely, and thoroughly.
  • Evaluate test environments for configuration, capability, and operational relevance and ensure they are available for thorough testing of software releases (e.g., fault insertion / identification).
  • De-conflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases and provide high-quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead.
  • Operate with general instructions; portions of work may be reviewed in detail to measure adequacy of approach, execution, and presentation.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree in a professional engineering discipline and 25 years of experience, 15 of which must be in the DoD
  • Must have and maintain an active Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with Agile methods, including testing methods for CI / CD, DevSecOps and DevOps
  • Experience with DoD Test and Processes
  • Understanding of cloud architectures and impacts to testing methods
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program and 20 years of experience, 12 of which must be in the DoD
  • Degree from an ABET-accredited program
  • Test Manager's Course certification or completion desired
  • Schedule, Location & Travel

  • Schedule : 40 Hrs / week
