To view more details of what you can look forward to, visit our careers page : Creative / Benefits Summary : The SVP, Head of Life Brokerage will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, growth, and performance of Highland's life insurance brokerage business within the Brokerage channel with a focus on supporting and expanding relationships with independent agents. This role will oversee the Brokerage Sales VPs, distribution strategy, and operational alignment to drive revenue, enhance advisor engagement, and ensure a best-in-class experience for independent producers. Responsibilities : Lead and manage the life insurance brokerage channel, setting strategic goals and driving execution to grow production and revenue across the divisionEstablish and maintain strong relationships with top-producing independent agents and agencies, providing high-level support and partnership to salespeople assigned to those accountsMonitor sales metrics and KPI's and adjust strategies to meet pre-defined targetsDevelop and implement and execute consistent sales strategies tailored to the needs of independent producers, including product positioning, marketing initiatives and competitive differentiation across the Brokerage Sales teamProvide leadership and mentorship to internal VPs and support team, fostering high performance culture focused on accountability and resultsDevelop a producer program for the top-producing advisor communityCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure a seamless and efficient sales process that aligns with company objectivesMonitor and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and profitability metricsRepresent the Brokerage channel in executive leadership discussions and contribute to enterprise-wide distribution strategyChampion innovation and continuous improvements in tools, technology, and service models to enhance the agent experienceEducation Requirements : Bachelor's degree Required Life & Health Insurance LicenseFINRA Series 6 and 63Basic Requirements : Work experience in sales or sales management role15+ years of experience in the life insurance industry, with a strong background in brokerage distributionExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholdersStrategic thinker with strong business acumen and decision-making capabilitiesDemonstrated success in performance management, coaching and team developmentFamiliarity with CRM / Sales Force softwareResults oriented with a history of driving growth and profitabilityAdaptable leader with experience navigating organizational changeExcellent relationship management skillsPreferred Requirements : Experience collaborating directly with independent agents and brokerage general agencies (BGA's)Current Employees and Contractors Apply Here
