About the Role

Were looking for a dedicated and empathetic Shelter Case Manager to join our team at our emergency shelter. In this role, youll be a steady, supportive presence for residentshelping them set and achieve goals, connect to resources, and take meaningful steps toward self-sufficiency. What Youll Do

  • Provide trauma-informed case management services to shelter residents, focusing on empowerment and safety.
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized service plans with measurable goals.
  • Connect clients to community resources such as housing, employment, healthcare, and education.
  • Serve as a strong advocate for clients in interactions with agencies, landlords, and service providers.
  • Facilitate life skills workshops and support groups to promote independence and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case files and ensure timely documentation that meets grant requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with shelter staff to maintain a supportive and safe living environment.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support when residents need it most.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and community outreach events.

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelors degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other vulnerable populations preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and best practices in advocacy.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and client database systems.
  • Work Environment

    This position is based at our emergency shelter. Some evening or weekend shifts may be required to meet client needs.
