Position Overview :
As an Engineering Co-op at Canton Drop Forge, you will work closely with our engineering, production, and maintenance teams to support process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and production optimization initiatives. This hands-on role will provide you with valuable experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities :
Process Improvement : Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.Data Analysis : Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Time and Motion Studies : Conduct time and motion studies to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce cycle times.Lean Manufacturing : Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.Equipment Layout and Design : Assist in the design and optimization of equipment layouts to improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks.Project Support : Participate in cross-functional teams to support various engineering and production projects, including new product development and process optimization initiatives.Safety and Compliance : Ensure all process improvements and engineering activities comply with safety standards and regulations.Qualifications :
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is desirable.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.What We Offer :
