Responsibilities
- Oversee the franchise audit function to ensure adherence to franchise agreements and financial reporting accuracy.
- Supervise the Audit Coordinator and Franchise Audit Specialist.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and internal stakeholders; ensure timely and accurate execution of franchise audits and reporting initiatives.
- Lead the franchise audit program from strategy and planning through execution and resolution.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to direct reports and conduct performance reviews.
- Oversee the audit process, including scheduling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and serve as the escalation point for franchisee disputes.
- Collaborate with Legal, Accounting, Development, and Brand Leadership to ensure consistent interpretation and enforcement of franchise agreements.
- Develop and maintain a robust reporting system to track audit outcomes and compliance trends.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
- Establish and refine audit and compliance procedures and controls.
Required Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or auditing; at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience with franchise organizations is preferred.Skills : Proven leadership in auditing; exceptional project management and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and supervisory skills with ability to coach and mentor others; excellent verbal and written communication; analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and trends; high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality; strong understanding of GAAP; proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Schedule / In-Office Requirements
