Job description

Store Manager Candidate

Dollar General Corporation is committed to serving others and values every individual. This position supports the Store Manager in implementing store processes, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, and more. It aims to foster the development of an external candidate for the Store Manager role.

Duties and Essential Job Functions include :

  • Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
  • Assist with store merchandising and inventory management.
  • Provide superior customer service leadership.
  • Operate the store in the store manager's absence.

Qualifications include :

  • Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.

    • Working conditions and physical requirements involve frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.

    Dollar General offers a wide range of benefit programs including health insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, and paid leave. This position requires some travel with limited overnight stays.
