Quality Engineer (12-Month Contract)
Location : On-site – Portage, MI
Overview :
We are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension. In this role, you will provide direct support to the manufacturing lines by developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection. Your work will help ensure our products meet the highest quality standards and perform as designed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and analyze production defects, lead projects to resolve top issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify, contain, and correct nonconformances originating from the manufacturing area.
- Coach cross-functional teams on Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as they relate to the manufacturing facility.
- Design and install testing equipment as needed; perform product testing and data analysis to maintain quality levels and reduce defects and failure rates.
- Apply established engineering procedures and concepts to resolve quality challenges and support manufacturing goals.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across all areas of the business, including operations, engineering, and commercial functions.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent.Entry-level; no prior experience required.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to manage projects and deliver results within established timelines.Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Analysis is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to conduct and document technical investigations.Commitment to supporting internal and external customers with professionalism and responsiveness.Why Join Us :
