The work you will do includes performing contract funds management tasks, reviewing contractual documents, performing audits of cost reimbursements invoices, and backing up the payroll duties by using statewide and agency unique accounting systems.

The successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities :

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, office procedures and practices, contract terminology and statutory regulations, and accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Skills in performing work that requires a high level of attention to detail, good customer service, auditing, organizing records, handling multiple tasks, and handling interruptions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, establish and maintain working relationships with customers, work in a team environment with shared tasks, work independently and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines, communicate effectively orally and in writing, analyze transactions and reconcile accounting records, analyze and interpret accounting data, applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, deal with internal and external customers in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner, review documents for accuracy and completeness, work timely and accurately under pressure and handle difficult situations, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments, and utilize problem-solving techniques.

Other job-related requirements include assisting the district during a declared emergency event.

Minimum qualifications include five years of professional business work experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis work, with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university substituting for four years of professional work experience.
