American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT(MR) certification and strong Epic documentation skills for an adult / geriatric outpatient cancer care setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
MRI technologist role in a cancer care facilityPatient population consists of adult and geriatric patientsImaging procedures include abdominal MRA / MRV, pelvis, MRCP, brain, head / neck, long bones, and various musculoskeletal and soft tissue scansOperate GE MRI and use Merge PACS systemEpic EMR documentation is requiredDay shifts (3x12 hours) from 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, with occasional half-day Saturdays as neededFirst-time travelers will be considered for this position8-hour orientation providedAny solid color scrubs may be worn; scrubs are not providedSupport services include interpretation, lift teams, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, respiratory, and secretarial supportHospitalist in-house 24 / 7Preferred experience includes MR aortogram, breast imaging, chest, orbits, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, radiation safety, and spinal traumaAll clinical staff must have the flu vaccine or sign a flu declination form during flu seasonFormer employees are not eligible for considerationLocal candidates accepted at local rate within a 75 mile radiusNo restrictive rules on requesting time off\n \n Requirements\n
Current ARRT(MR) certification requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 3 years of MRI technologist experienceProficient in Epic EMR documentationExperience with preparation and / or administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVsSkilled in adult acute care, adult ICU, and outpatient MRI procedures covering abdomen, pelvis, brain, musculoskeletal, and vascular studiesAbility to follow isolation precautions and perform advanced MR image processingLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
