About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years Med / Tele RN experience preferred.

License : Required nursing license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Stroke experience
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Trach care
• PIV starts
• Chest tube management
• NGT placement
• Drain / tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion / management)
• PCA pump management
• Medication gtt management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with MedSurg / Tele experience.

This position involves caring for patients specializing in head / neck and GI surgeries.

Common procedures include tracheostomies, laryngectomies, and hernia repairs.

The nurse will also manage patients with medical overflow.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4-6, which may increase during surgical staffing.

Support within the department includes charge nurses and respiratory therapy available 24 / 7.

IV and phlebotomy services are provided, with nurses responsible for telemetry monitoring.

Weekend rotation is every other week, and there are no call requirements.

Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.

Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays.

Scrub color for the unit is navy.
