Medical Lab Technician

Responsibilities:
Process, embed, cut, stain, and cover-slip tissue specimens and slides
Perform special stains, immunohistochemistry, and frozen section procedures
Label, correlate, distribute, and file slides accurately
Maintain equipment, reagents, and quality control logs
Assist with other laboratory duties as needed
Qualifications:
Current Florida Histotechnician/Histotechnologist license OR HT/HTL (ASCP) certification (must obtain within first month if not licensed)
2+ years of histology experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand/bend for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
Must be able to work with laboratory chemicals and distinguish colors
