MAS Environmental (a NOVA Engineering & Environmental company) is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Designer (Drafter) in Tampa, Florida to support the design and development of remediation systems for petroleum-impacted sites. This role plays a critical part in our environmental restoration efforts, contributing to the creation of effective and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed CAD drawings and schematics for petroleum remediation systems, including soil vapor extraction, air sparging, groundwater treatment, and dual-phase extraction systems.
- Collaborate with project engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists to translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable environmental regulations and engineering standards.
- Revise and update drawings based on field data, client feedback, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for project tracking and reporting.
- Assist in preparing permit application packages and construction documentation.
Preferred Qualifications :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit, or similar).Familiarity with Florida’s Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) is highly desirable but not required.Strong understanding of environmental remediation principles and system components is preferred but not requiredExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamMAS / NOVA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
