Job description

Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a local contract nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a local contract nursing job in Kansas City, Kansas.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty : Long Term Acute Care
  • Discipline : RN
  • Duration : 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, days
  • Employment Type : Local Contract

HIGHLIGHTS :

  • BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
  • ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY)
  • Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience
  • Assumes charge responsibility following orientation period as requested

    • ADDITIONAL DETAILS :

  • Based on the Competency Program established for direct care providers, possesses the skills and competencies necessary to perform job function in accordance with population served criteria

    • MORE INFORMATION :

  • Work Location : Select Specialty Hospital - Kansas City
  • Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission
  • Provides patient information and status in a timely manner for the Initial Team Conference and Re-evaluation Team Conferences
  • Participates in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit
  • Initiates discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission
  • Communicates all pertinent information regarding changes in patient's status
  • Provides direction, training and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel
  • Provides for and assures personal and environmental safety
  • Positively contributes to the functioning of the unit
  • Maintains communication with manager and senior nursing staff
  • Identifies and initiates own professional growth
  • Prioritizes activities and plans for effective use of time and staff
  • Performs other duties as requested
