HR Assistant Retail Division
Position Summary
The HR Assistant supports daily HR operations for employees assigned to our supermarket and retail clients. This role ensures smooth onboarding, staffing coordination, employee support, and compliance with company and client policies. The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, and comfortable managing multiple HR tasks in a fast-paced environment. A bachelors degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Support & HR Operations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned retail/supermarket client accounts.
- Assist employees with HR questions, policy guidance, and general support.
- Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR files.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and labor regulations.
- Support payroll-related tasks such as timecard verification and attendance follow-up.
Recruitment & Hiring
- Coordinate recruitment efforts for client staffing needs, including job postings, screening, and interviewing.
- Assist with onboarding, new-hire paperwork, background checks, and orientation.
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience.
- Track open positions and collaborate with HR Managers to meet client staffing goals.
Client Coordination
- Work closely with client store managers and supervisors to understand staffing needs and resolve HR issues.
- Provide timely updates on employee performance, attendance, and HR-related matters.
- Support the implementation of HR processes and best practices across client locations.
- Build strong, professional relationships with client partners to ensure satisfaction and service quality.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with incident reports, corrective actions, and documentation as needed.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Prepare HR reports, updates, and metrics for internal use and client review.
- Help maintain safety and workplace standards in coordination with HR leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience in HR, staffing, or retail HR support preferred.
- Knowledge of HR processes, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities across multiple client locations.
- Proficiency with HR systems and basic computer applications.
- Must be Fluent in Spanish.
- Bachelors degree in Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
