Seasonal Poll Official

The Davidson County Election Commission is hiring seasonal Poll Officials for Election Day. Positions include Officer, Special Clerk, Machine Operator, Precinct Registrar, and Reservist. Poll Officials are paid $150 per Election Day worked and $30 per mandatory online training class completed. The following are NOT eligible to work : Elected Officials, Candidates on the ballot or close relatives of a candidate, Persons working directly under the supervision of an elected official on the ballot.

Minimum Qualifications

• A registered Davidson County voter (if 18 or older)
• At least 16 years old and a resident of Davidson County
• Must be able to complete mandatory online training
• Must be available to work 6 a.m. to 7 : 30 p.m. (or until the last voter has voted and all precinct work is completed) on Election Day
• Must provide own transportation to and from training and assigned work location
• Must be able to read and write in the English language
