Military Software Engineer – Relocation Available

Hiring an onsite Software Engineer III for the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) at Edwards Air Force Base located in California.

The primary role involves supporting the RF Software Systems Element. The candidate's main responsibilities include providing engineering expertise and support to address the unique challenges encountered at the BAF.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing, updating, and maintaining, software used for EW Testing
• Overseeing the development of software documentation
• Managing the software development lifecycle
• Monitoring system performance
• Willingness to provide support to broader team, as necessary or requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field and 4 years of related experience, or Master of Science in a computer-related field with at least 2 years of related engineering experience.
• Proficient in C# / Visual Basic (VB) / (Structured Query Language) SQL Server.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Top-Secret security clearance
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
• Familiarization with Python and Linux
• Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and possess planning/organizing skills.
• Familiarization with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $145K annually.
