Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist experienced in both Cath Lab and Electrophysiology procedures for a full-time contract with rotational call requirements.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Cath Lab with coverage as needed in EPTreats a cardio-vascular patient population with variable daily caseloadDay shifts, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM, five 8-hour shifts per weekRotational weekday and weekend on-call required; weekend call runs Friday evening to Monday morningFloating to EP lab as needed within scopeUses Siemens and GE equipmentDocumentation in Epic and MAC Lab charting systemsHospital-issued scrubs requiredFirst-time travelers accepted if experienced in both Cath Lab and EPResponsibility includes monitoring, pacing, ablation in EP, circulating, and performing advanced procedures in Cath LabPreferred experience includes scrubbing, tilt table studies, cardioversion, vascular (carotid / peripheral), PFA and WatchmanHospital has 396 staffed bedsParking is freePre-assignment completion of onboarding modules requiredAll time-off requests must be disclosed at time of submission and approval is based on facility needPrevious staff (including PRN) must have a one-year separation before returning as a travelerTravelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)Block scheduling can be requested but is not guaranteedRequirements
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience requiredAbility to monitor, pace, perform ablation (“burn”), circulate in Cath and EP casesProficiency with PCI, Shockwave, CSI, Impella insertion, and balloon pump proceduresBLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)ARRT(R) with SCRQSA(R), or CCI RCIS with SCRQSA requiredRadiation badge required and must be provided by the agencyExperience with Epic EMR preferredSSN and driver’s license required for considerationMust live within 30 minutes of facility for on-call responseCandidates must be non-local (outside 60 mile radius); locals not acceptedLicense required if applicableBenefits
