This union position on the first shift involves planning and installing die cast, punch press, and plating equipment, troubleshooting and programming PLCs, diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing complex electronic control systems and microprocessor-based equipment. You will perform these duties with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Candidates should have previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a die cast plant. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming, basic circuit troubleshooting, interpreting schematics / prints, and reading ladder logic (familiarity with SLC500 and RS Logix) are required. A positive work history, ability to work independently, and teamwork skills are essential. Candidates must hold a Journeyman's card and have completed formal electrical / electronic coursework beyond high school; an electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
