Direct Care Professional

Description : We are seeking Direct Support Professional - DSP positions throughout Suffolk and Nassau County to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Hours and work shifts may vary, must be flexible.

Responsibilities :

Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating

Support individuals in achieving personal goals and independence

Provide companionship and promote community integration

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment

Complete documentation and reports according to agency and regulatory standards

Follow behavior support plans and crisis intervention protocols

Communicate effectively with team members, families, and supervisors

Participate in training and professional development sessions

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required

Valid driver’s license

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks

Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills

Must have a valid CPA / First Aid certification
