A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - CVICU Job Details : - Work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM / 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) - 36 guaranteed hours per week - No call requirements - Must have 2 years ICU experience - Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH - Active Texas RN license required (no temporary licenses accepted) - Must float between units as needed per hospital floating policy - Required skills : hemodynamic monitoring (swans, art lines), ventilator management, strong critical thinking skills - Preferred skills : IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, Meditech charting / order entry experience - Procedures include post CABG, post VAD, post catheterization with various cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO) - Documentation system : Meditech - Dress code : Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs - Must badge in / out for shifts and take full 30-minute lunch break - Clock in time 6 : 38 AM / PM required (after 6 : 45 AM / PM considered tardy) - Clean and healthy nail policy, neat hair with no extreme styles or colors required - Body art should be covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited Facility : This healthcare facility has been providing high-quality care to patients for over 50 years, opening in 1963 as the first hospital in the internationally acclaimed South Texas Medical Center.
