• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities\n
• Prepare for surveys through off-site preparation and facility tours\n
• Evaluate quality of care and consumer rights\n
• Communicate non-compliance issues with facility personnel\n
• Assess acceptability of plans of correction\n
• Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys\n
• Assist with facility and bureau training\n\nQualifications\n
• Must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing\n
• Successful completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT\n
• At least two years of recent experience as a surveyor\n
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)\n\nEducation Requirements\n
