The ADC is a well-established agency in Prince William County, VA. We provide safety and security for our staff and the individuals in our care while protecting the residents of Prince William County. This position will involve direct contact with inmates housed at the facility.
ABOUT THIS ROLE :
As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising nursing staff, ensuring efficient work schedules, and providing patient care. You will support and mentor lower-level nursing staff while delivering critical hands-on care and directly impacting patient outcomes and staff performance in our facility.
Key Responsibilities :
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
High School diploma or G.E.D. plus a degree or diploma from a state approved professional nursing program and 2 years of related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS :
Registered Nurse License, CPR / First Aid Certification. Must pass local, state and federal background checks, have a valid driver's license, and pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
KNOWLEDGE :
Computers and related software applications.
SKILLS :
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
PREFERRED SKILLS :
The successful candidate will have knowledge of supervisory and customer service principles, as well as be familiar with medical terminology and nursing principles.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS :
10 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT (6 : 00pm-4 : 00am, 8 : 15pm-6 : 15am)
FLSA : Exempt
HIRING RANGE :
$90,000.00 - $107,000.00
INCENTIVES :
$5000.00 Hiring Bonus
$1.50 Shift Differential for applicable hours worked
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is performed in an inherently stressful environment and involves risk to personal safety with the possible exposure to blood borne and airborne pathogens.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Very Heavy Work : Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises and travel.
Must pass a pre-employment physical.
