Certifications and Licenses :

Registered Nurse (RN) License : Must hold an active and valid RN license in the state of Texas.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification : Required.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification : Peds experience preferred.

Job Summary :

Join Midland Memorial Hospital as an OR Registered Nurse and become an essential part of our perioperative team. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The position involves working three 12-hour day shifts per week, with a schedule that promotes work-life balance. No call requirements, allowing you to enjoy your time outside of work.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgeries.

Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.

Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any emergent situations promptly.

Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, ensuring all supplies and equipment are available and sterile.

Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital policies.

Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-operative care.

What You Bring :

Proven experience working in an operating room setting with a strong understanding of surgical protocols and safety procedures.

Ability to work efficiently within a team and adapt quickly to dynamic situations.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.

Flexibility to work scheduled day shifts and handle routine surgical cases.

Prior experience with orthopedic, neuro, trauma, ENT, or pediatric surgeries is highly desirable.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 1-2 years of OR nursing experience, especially in general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, or ENT surgeries.

Experience working in a hospital setting with pediatric patients preferred.
