Assistant Infant Teacher The Learning Experience of Astoria

The Learning Experience of Astoria is seeking a caring reliable and dedicated Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team full-time. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with infants understands the importance of early nurturing and is eager to support the lead teacher in creating a warm developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

About the Role

As an Assistant Infant Teacher you will work closely with the Lead Infant Teacher to support the daily care routines and learning experiences of our infants. The ideal candidate is someone who brings patience enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to the classroom along with prior experience working with very young children.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in early childhood education is required
• High school diploma required
• Must meet New York State requirements for working in early childhood programs

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Infant Teacher with daily routines such as feeding diapering napping and comforting infants
• Assist in creating and maintaining a clean safe and organized classroom
• Help implement simple age-appropriate activities that support developmental growth
• Observe and communicate infants needs to the Lead Teacher and families
• Maintain positive caring interactions with each child throughout the day
• Work collaboratively with staff to uphold The Learning Experiences standards of care and professionalism

Compensation : $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

This forms a foundation for kids to Learn Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers and staff.

Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.
