Senior Surgical Technician-Cardiothoracic Surgery MT

Description

The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include : being prepared for and knowledgeable of the surgical procedure to be performed, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, anticipating and assisting the surgeon as necessary, working with the circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintaining familiarity with, function of, and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician initiates responsibility for care of specimens and performs other related duties.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree – Surgical Tech program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

About the Team

Providence Clinical Network (PCN) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
