We are seeking a Sr. PHP Engineer (REMOTE) for a full-time role for one of our amazing partners on the East Coast. You can live in ET or CT time zones, but you will need to be available within their core working hours Mon-Fri from 9 : 00am-12 : 00pm ET.
We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with a passion for delivering quality products. You will build and maintain scalable custom applications that enhance products for consumers, clients, and employees. You will utilize your expertise in product development and engineering by leveraging PHP with Laravel to ensure exceptional system architecture, security, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with marketing and design teams to make valuable contributions to the project success.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and maintenance of custom applications and features.
- Engage in the end-to-end development processes, which includes gathering requirements, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Review open pull requests, provide feedback, and follow up on active conversations to learn, teach, and deliver a high-quality product.
- Use your expertise in software engineering and database architecture, particularly in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Work and collaborate closely with other teams to ensure product usability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Monitor, prioritize, and promptly address any real-time errors, unhandled exceptions, or performance issues.
- Understand when to prioritize building things correctly versus building them quickly.
Requirements :
Senior level engineer experience, and be fluent in building, architecting and maintaining custom applications in a cloud native architecture.Expert in database architecture, PHP, Laravel ecosystem (Nova, Vapor, Forge, etc.), AWS, distributed and concurrent application architecture.Experience in modern reactive and responsive frontend UI / UX design.Experience in product development as part of a team or experience developing your own products.Experience with ClickHouse or other OLAP database architectures.Experience with Kafka and / or AWS Kinesis.Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify and address technical architecture challenges.Strong interest or experience in AI usage and application and custom model training.Commitment to continuous self-development, knowledge sharing and mentoring others.Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
