Sample Management Coordinator

The Opportunity :

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor of Scientific Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location : Spring House, PA

Shift : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Hourly Range : $21.00 - $30.00

What we're looking for

High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred.

1-2 years of laboratory experience is highly desirable; undergraduate lab work will be considered.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Familiarity with ordering systems, such as SAP and Inventory Manager, is a plus.

Experience with laboratory equipment, such as balances and pH meters, is a plus.

Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external clients.

Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, including drafting, is advantageous.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high attention to detail.

Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will :

Monitor solvent levels and place orders using Inventory Manager and SAP.

Prepare barcodes for incoming solvent orders.

Break down pallets and restock inventory.

Receive shipments, unbox, barcode, and label solvents.

Apply peroxide former stickers to designated bottles.

Store solvents in cabinets in accordance with compliance standards.

Maintain a clean and organized solvent storage area.

Conduct scan runs in labs to assess solvent needs.

Prep delivery carts and restock solvents from the central stockroom to lab locations.

Perform second delivery runs if needed.

Collect empty solvent bottles from labs.

Scan and dispose of bottles in designated disposal areas.

Conduct second disposal runs as necessary.
