CT Technologist
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the director of diagnostic imaging, and according to established policies and procedures, performs all required diagnostic computerized axial tomography (CAT) scanning procedures with knowledge of all pertinent technical and academic areas to produce consistent, high-quality examinations. The computerized tomography technologist functions independently within the broad scope of established department policies and goals; generally refers specific problems to supervisors only when clarifications of operating policies and procedures may be required.
Essential Functions
Demonstrates skill and knowledge to identify disease abnormalities and physiological processes while performing the CAT scans, with initiative to obtain additional scans, views, or extremely technical factors as required to provide maximum information for the radiologist to make an accurate diagnosis.
Must be competent in the art of CAT scanning.
Initiates the computer into its proper program and starts the X-ray equipment.

Minimum Education / Certifications
Associate's or applied science degree in a related field.
Certification : Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Certificate (required within one year of employment)
Minimum Work Experience
At least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work : Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed
