Job Description
The Product Manager – Retail (Physical Products | Manufacturing Focus) is the champion for assigned product categories and plays a critical role in managing a tangible product portfolio from concept through manufacturing and commercialization. Success in this role requires the ability to analyze data, draw actionable conclusions, develop business strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally—especially with manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, marketing, sales and supply chain teams.
This role covers all aspects of product line management for physical goods, including new product development (NPD), competitive intelligence, pricing and profitability, and full product life cycle management. You will partner closely with the Senior Product Manager to work with with internal manufacturing teams to bring high-quality, manufacturable, and cost-effective products to market. Additionally, this individual will be a strategic partner to Sales in achieving growth objectives, sales targets, and long-range initiatives.
The Product Manager identifies product opportunities across North America and globally as needed—leveraging market insights, customer feedback, and operational capabilities to develop successful product and business plans. You will also collaborate with Brand and Channel Marketing Teams to create marketing programs, promotions, and content that support commercialization efforts and customer engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a cross-functional and matrixed environment. You must be able to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
This role will be hybrid-based out of one of our corporate locations in Deerfield, IL.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range : $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
