Job description

Main Sail is seeking 7 temporary employees to support BWXT operations in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. These individuals will serve as Confined Space Attendants and perform ancillary support duties. No prior experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided.

BWXT is a leading supplier of nuclear components and fuel to the U.S. government; provides technical, management and site services to support governments in the operation of complex facilities and environmental remediation activities; and supplies precision manufactured components and services for the commercial nuclear power industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and serve as confined space attendants, ensuring personnel safety within designated areas.
  • Perform general support and housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Retrieve and transport tools, equipment, and supplies from the tool crib.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, policies, and site requirements.

Additional details :

  • Location / Facility : Mt, Vernon, Indiana.
  • Anticipated Duration of Assignment : Up to December 31, 2025.
  • Education Required : High School Graduate (no prior experience required).

    • Work Schedules :

  • Day Shift (3 openings) : 4 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, Monday–Thursday (40 hours / week plus 8 hours overtime).
  • Night Shift (2 openings) : 4 : 00 PM – 4 : 00 AM, Monday–Thursday (40 hours / week plus 8 hours overtime).
  • Weekend Day Shift (2 openings) : 4 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, Friday–Sunday (approx. 36 hours / week).
